I know it’s a pain, but for the moment this website is viewable only in Internet Explorer. This should change in the near future and be seen in other browsers, including Firefox, but for right now, just bear with me.

I’m Carissa, the editor and general operator of Past Stars.

 

Some of you may remember when Charity’s Place included movie reviews of Classic Cinema. I know, that was over a year ago, but it’s taken me awhile to find the right program and actually develop a format that worked. But here they are, all of the classic reviews that Charity was kind enough to turn over to me.

 

The basic principles of reviewing remain the same whenever new reviews are added. Past Stars examines the moral, spiritual, and physical content of a classic film and determines whether it would be safe for family viewing. Just because a movie opened in the 1950s does not necessarily mean it is wholly safe for Christians.

 

I’m currently on the hunt for new reviewers, so for anyone interested, please contact me.
